NOWSHERA, Mar 12: Police busted a gang of burglars operating in Nowshera area and arrested its six members today.
An official spokesman said that in view of the rising incidents of thefts in Nowshera area , a special team was constituted by SDPO Nowshera, Sargun Shukla which busted this gang. All the members of the gang were arrested from different locations by police raiding teams.
They were identified as Absar Mehmood, Sajad Mehmood, both sons of Manzoor Hussain from Dabber; Devinder Kumar, son of Romesh Chander, resident of Dharat tehsil Nowshera; Sunil Kumar, son of Chuni Lal of Jhangar; Babbal Kumar, son of Lal Chand and Kulbir Chandial, son of Harnam Singh from Dabber in Tehsil Nowshera.
The police recovered two stolen motor-cycles, some mobile phones valuing over Rs 1.50 lakh from their possession. More recoveries are expected soon. The team was headed by SHO Nowshera, Insp RS Parihar and assisted by SIs Altaf Hussain and Ghulam Murtaza.
