RAMGARH, Feb 23: Former Minister Chander Prakash Ganga today distributed LPG connections among the beneficiaries under PMUY during a public meeting held at border Rangoor village of Ramgarh block.
While interacting with the locals, Ganga took stock of their issues besides having feedback about the essential services they are getting from the administration.
“Availability of free LPG connections among the poor women under Ujjawala has brought a big social transformation in the lives of women of rural areas making them healthier and happier”, said the former Minister.
He said this has saved the women from the hazards of conventional smoke chullahs, adding that this scheme also ensures an insurance of Rs 6 lakh in case of any mishap caused due to this gas cylinder.
Ganga, while emphasizing an active campaign for the scheme, said that awareness regarding the scheme is key ingredient in achieving the goal of providing 5 crore LPG connections to women from BPL families by 2019 as promised by the PM.
“The scheme, launched in 2016, is “guided by a strong commitment to improve the quality of life of poor women,” he asserted.
While elaborating on reformative measures initiated by the Modi government, Ganga extolled that under the stewardship of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi India is fast marching towards new dimensions of progress and prosperity.
