Ganga hands over financial assistance to beneficiaries

SAMBA, Apr 24: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga has said that the Government is committed to uplift the underprivileged and downtrodden sections of the society adding that several welfare measures have been launched by Centre and the State Government in this regard.
The Minister was speaking at a function organized to distribute authorization of financial assistance worth Rs 1.50 lakh among the beneficiaries under National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS) and Marriage Assistance Scheme (MAS).
Ganga urged upon the people to come forward and avail maximum benefit of various social security schemes. He directed the concerned officers to raise awareness among the people regarding various ongoing welfare schemes. He also directed to conduct fresh survey so that the left-out beneficiaries are covered under the schemes.
District Social Welfare Officer, Samba and other senior officers of various departments besides a large number of people were present on the occasion.
