UDHAMPUR: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today held a public meeting at Ramnagar, Udhampur.
Minister of State for Transport (Independent charge), Revenue and Public Works(R&B), Sunil Kumar Sharma, MLA Ramnagar R S Pathania, Deputy Commissioner, Niraj Kumar and Director Handlooms, Rajesh Sharma were also present on the occasion.
The Minister while responding to the problems and demands raised by people of the area said the Government is committed to provide all the facilities to common masses and hence, has launched a number of schemes for their welfare.
He also assured that their genuine problems would be sorted out in shortest time and directed the concerned for early action in this regard.
The Minister later participated in celebrations of Guru Ravi Dass Jayanti and also inaugurated Bhartiya Vidya Mandir School at Ramnagar.
The MoS, Sunil Kumar Sharma, on the occasion, said that the Government is committed to provide road connectivity to all villages by 2019.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA demanded the establishment of Small Scale Industries in the area for developing the sub division adding that these industries will provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youth of the area. The MLA further demanded the development of Pingla Mata and Chountra Mata shrines besides development of tourist spots in Dudu- Basantgarh area.
Among others, SSP, Shailendra Kumar Mishra, AD Handlooms Pallvi besides other district officers, sectoral officers, prominent citizens and large number of people attended the function.
