JAMMU Jan 15: Former Industries Minister and MLA, Chander Prakash Ganga today laid foundation stone of various lanes and drains worth Rs 9 lakh being executed under different schemes at Gagor.
The MLA, while addressing a mammoth gathering after laying the foundation stone, said that State administration is working hard to ensure quality development works in every part of the State with emphasis on deprived and unattended areas. He said that complete transparency and accountability is being ensured at all levels with added responsiveness so that long lasting and viable assets are created under various prestigious projects.
Meanwhile, the MLA visited Higher Secondary School Ramgarh and inspected the classrooms and other units of the school. He interacted with the students and enquired about the facilities being provided to them in the school. He exhorted upon the teachers to enthuse moral ethos among the students besides imparting them quality education as the onus of building a strong nation lies on youth. He also donated 50 benches to the school under CSR.
Elaborating on the significance of education in bringing about much needed transformation in the society, Former Minister said that this vital sector is being revitalized and revamped to ensure that it enable the students face all impending challenges of today’s globalized era with added vigour and vitality. He also described the role of parents as of utmost importance in shaping the future of their children for a better world to live in. “The teacher-parent partnership has to be strengthened further to gift a brighter future to our posterity”, he maintained.
ACD Samba, Tehsildar, AD Fisheries, Chief Agriculture Officer, Executive Engineer PWD, AEEs PDD and PHE besides other officers were present on the occasion.
