JAMMU, June 29: Jasdeep Singh alias gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, one of the prime accused in the killing of famous Punjabi singer Siddhu Moosewala, was recently quizzed by Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) for the former’s alleged criminal connections in Jammu.
Sources said the dreaded gangster, who has been facing over 100 cases across the country for his involvement in different crimes, and currently lodged in Punjab’s Bathinda Jail, was brought to Jammu from Bathinda on a transit remand by a team of Jammu and Kashmir Police on June 16.
“He was quizzed for 12 days by Jammu and Kashmir Police at Police Station Gangyal and later handed over to the Punjab jail authorities on June 27,” sources said.
“Jaggu Bhagwanpuria was interrogated after his network’s role surfaced in some crime cases registered in Jammu,” sources further said.
SSP Jammu, Chandan Kohli, said he will share the details on quizzing of the gangster some other day.
