JAMMU, Aug 12: People living in Gangyal locality claimed today that they are living in a state of constant stress as miscreants are having a free run in the area with a dip in policing.
A worried resident approached this newspaper claiming two incidents of assault have been reported in the Gangyal area near the Police Station itself in the last around 2-3 days.
He said young men roam around on their bikes in Gangyal without a fear of the police, resorting to different nature of criminal activities.
SHO Gangyal, Inspector Satveer Singh, however, refuted the allegations, claiming criminals are being taken to task every time their activities are reported.
He said in all the incidents of assault reported recently, FIRs have been registered and the criminals arrested by the police.
