JAMMU, May 26: Result of two-day election for Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha Sopore Camp was announced here today in which Kamal Krishan Ganjoo was elected as president.
Ganjoo secured 497 votes out of a total of 964 votes polled while his rival Maharaj Krishan Koul got 419 votes.
Out of 586 votes polled online, Kamal Krishan got 298 and Maharaj Krishan secured 241 while at Polling Station ‘Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra’, out of a total of 324 polled votes, Kamal Krishan secured 169 votes and Maharaj Krishan 154.
At Jagti Township, out of 54 votes, Kamal Krishan got 30 and Maharaj Krishan 24.
A total of 48 votes were cancelled.
Returning Officer was Bipan Pandita, Chairman of Election Board was B.L Bakshi; Presiding Officer & Online Voting Incharge was Sunil Mantoo; Dilip Bakshi was Counting Officer; Ravinder Koul, Upinder Garoo, S.N Tak and Maharaj Krishan Mantoo were Polling Officers while Avtar Krishan Lidhoo was Presiding Officer at Jagti.
