This has reference to Dr Raja Muzaffar’s article titled ” Make villages garbage free” in your esteemed newspaper.
I also come from a village called Dara in Srinagar outskirts and I always asked myself if at all Government had any scheme available for rural sanitation . This article educated me that villages can also be sanitized through various government schemes . Hats off to Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat.
Looking at the heaps of garbage lying on road side / in nallas and streams , throughout rural Kashmir. I always think if I had resources to clean it .We believe that people have lost their civic sense but it becomes a responsibility of Government to do it’s bit. I wonder where do the funds allocated for rural sanitation go?
