MENDHAR, Oct 30: With the scattered heaps of garbage in Mendhar town of district Poonch, the general public has been facing lot of hardships.
There are heaps of filth/ garbage in Mendhar’s main market, hospital road, bus stand, Sariya Market, Hakim Modh and other places. In such a situation, people accused the Rural Development Department and the local Sarpanches and said that due to the negligence of the department, the people are facing trouble.
Local residents Mohammad Ismail and Ashfaq Ahmed . said that thousands of people come to the Mendhar market every day for shopping, while the smell emanating from garbage heaps can be harmful for health.
People urged upon the District Development Commissioner, Poonch, that the concerned department should take strict cognizance of this matter so that special care can be taken for the cleanliness in the town.
