Gas agencies denying 5 cylinders to consumers

JAMMU, Mar 29: Observing that the LPG gas agencies as well as petroleum companies are denying to provide quota of five cylinders to the consumers before March 31, Consumer Protection Organisation (CPO), J&K, has suggested the consumers to approach it or Director, CA&PD in case of any such complaint.
The meeting of the executive body of CPO, J&K, which was held here today under the presidentship of Dr Danish, expressed grave concern over the denial of gas agencies to give five cylinder to the consumers despite the directions issued to them by the Minister for CA&PD in this concern.
“The complaint can be lodged with CA&PD/CPO with full details such as Name, Address and Connection No. along with Name of Gas Agency. The complaint can also be made on phone numbers 2502607-08 and toll free number 2502609. The same can be lodged with CPO at numbers 2573300 or 9796637475”, the meeting said, adding CA&PD Department may also be approached to stop road delivery of gas cylinders by the trucks within the Municipal limits of Jammu.
