JAMMU, Feb 18: Ghulam Nabi Gauhar, a well known writer of the State, presented a copy of his latest book titled “Torch Bearer in Dark Circle”, to N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan, here today.
Briefing the Governor about this volume, Mr. Gauhar said that he had originally written this novel in Kashmiri titled “Argi Ashud’, which he later recreated in English, titled “Torch Bearer in Dark Circle”. The theme of the book is the history of Jammu and Kashmir in the 20th century through the medium of fiction.
During the past about six decades, Mr. Gauhar has written 12 books each in English and Kashmiri and 3 in Urdu language, ranging from novels, poetry, research and Kashmir mystic thought.
The Governor wished Mr. Gauhar good health and continuing success in his literary pursuits.
