During the meeting, Gupta submitted a memorandum outlining his concerns and proposed solutions to combat this menace. In the memorandum, Gupta commended the LG for his steadfast vision towards Viksit Jammu Kashmir and the remarkable strides made in restoring peace and prosperity in the region. However, he expressed deep concern over the escalating cases of drug peddling, particularly highlighting recent reports of deaths in the Reshamgarh locality of Jammu City due to drug-related issues.

He underscored the importance of safeguarding the future of the youth and proposed redirecting their energy towards the sports sector as a constructive alternative to drug abuse.
During the meeting, Gupta urged the LG to prioritize actions aimed at curbing drug peddling and ensuring the well-being of the youth in J&K.
The LG gave a patient hearing to the issues put forth by Gaurav Gupta and assured to take necessary actions to curb the rising drug peddling cases in the Union Territory.
