JAMMU, Sept 15: Pradesh Vishwakarma Sabha organised a function here today under the chairmanship of R.L Chargotra, where Palesh Bhai from Gujarat was chief guest.
During the function meritorious students from class 10 to PG and those from Engineering and Medical fields were honoured and were given mementoes and appreciation letters by the Sabha.
In welcome address, Shashi Verma, Sabha president demand gazetted holiday on Vishwakarma Day which is celebrated next day of Diwali across the world.
Sabha general secretary, Vijay Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
More than 90 students achievers and sportspersons were felicitated which included Manik Verma selected in Army as Lieutenant; Vanshika Dhiman, who got Bronze Medal in Wushu at National level; Sanchit Verma, who scored 98 percent marks in Class 10; Lovish Verma, Kickboxing player; Narvi Jakhotra, who got CBSE A1 Grade in Class 10; Sandeep Rattan Verma, who stood 2nd in short film competition; Kanak Chargotra, who scored 94 per cent marks in Class 10 exams and Mishtha Salaria, who scored 93 per cent marks in Class 10.
The chief guest along with Y.P Boureney, Ajay Engotra, Rohit Gandhi and others gave prizes to the student toppers and achievers.
President of Mahila Wing, Vandana Sagar Chargotra and her team; Darshan Singh and his team; Sham Chargotra, H.R Chargotra, R.C Angotra, Rakesh Chalotra, president Shakti Nagar Sabha and his team organized this function.
Jagdish Raj, Rajinder Verma, Sain Dass, Amarjeet Chargotra, Ashwani Angotra, Vinod Jaral, Jaswant Rai, Kartar Verma, Parshotam Chargotra, Charanjeet Chargotra, Subash Verma, Jagdish Verma, Madan Lal and others were also present on this occasion.
