JAMMU, Dec 26: The faculty members of Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) Jammu today appealed the Government to order promotion/placements at the level of Professors.
In a meeting, the faculty members of the College expressed their concern for not making promotions/placements at the level of Professors. The members hoped that Higher Education Department will consider the recommended cases at the earliest and ordered promotions at Professor level, as has been done by the department in cases of promotion of 16 faculty members as Associate professors.
The GCET faculty members hoped that Sarita Chauhan, Commissioner/Secretary, Higher Education Department, will safeguard the genuine interests of the teaching staff of the College by acting positively to their demands.
They assured of their full support to the administrative authorities of the College in making all the efforts for the future growth and betterment of the Institution.
