GCET teachers’ body reconstituted

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Sept 4: Engineering College Teaching Association (ECTA) has reconstituted its body and unanimously elected Salwant Raj as president.
Sumeer Khajuria and Rajesh Bali were designated as general secretary and cashier, respectively of the association.
The new body was constituted during a meeting of teaching faculty of GCET, here today.
The newly president Salwant Raj pointed out that it was most ill-fated and painful that even after the establishment of GCET Jammu  more than a decade back, the recruitment rules had not been framed till date and in absence of the same,  teaching faculty of GCET was deprived of Career Advancement Schemes (CAS) and other promotional avenues.
Criticizing the neglect of the Government in addressing the issues of the GCET Jammu, the Engineering College Teaching Association (ECTA) urged upon the administration to take cognizance of all their issues at the earliest.
