GCOE organizes 3-day Intl Conference on “Teaching, Learning and Education”

JAMMU, May 6: As a part of series of measures planned with focus on teaching and creative learning during the current pandemic time, the Government College of Education (GCOE), Jammu today organized three-day International Virtual Conference on “Teaching, Learning and Education”.
The event was organized under the guidance of Sushma Chauhan, Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, UT of J&K and under the patronage of Principal of the College Dr Kulvinder Kour.
Several resource persons from different parts of the world like Iran, Pakistan, Philippines, Bangladesh, Europe, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Indonesia are participating in the conference, which is being organized in collaboration with State Islamic Institute Madura, Indonesia, UAAM and UMSR, Indonesia, Cape Comorin Trust and Lavender Literary Club in association with Cape Comorin Publisher, India.
The three-day conference has been organized to explore the areas of early childhood, education, public education policy, machine learning, theory and practice of physical education development.
At the outset, Dr Shubhra Jamwal, Assistant Professor of English, Govt College of Education Jammu delivered the welcome address and threw light on the sessions to be conducted during three-day long conference and about presentation of papers by the participants.
Principal of the College Dr Kulvinder Kour, in her inaugural address, said, “the aim of this conference is to bring out the recent innovation, trends and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of Teaching, Learning and Education”.
In her presidential address, Sushma Chauhan, Secretary Higher Education Department appreciated the Government College of Education Jammu for organizing such a big event on virtual mode during the pandemic time.
She disclosed that Higher Education Department is in the process of finalizing the strategy for the implementation of National Education Policy and all out efforts will be made to ensure that its objectives are achieved within the time-frame specified by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Dr J N Baliya, Head, Department of Educational Studies, Central University of Jammu delivered key note address while as Dr Sushma Bala, (Convenor of the Event) Assistant Professor of Education, GCOE presented the vote of thanks.
NSS Volunteers namely Ravinder Rao, Priya Chivalry Singh, Ambica , Aakrti, Ajay Bhau, Sunaina along with other Volunteers will be coordinating the entire event.
