JAMMU, Mar 4: Government College of Education (GCOE) Jammu in association with Directorate of AYUSH J&K organized a health and wellness medical camp ‘Ayusamvad’ in its campus, today.
The camp was inaugurated by Principal of the College Dr Kulwinder Kour. It was followed by an awareness lecture on health by Dr Arun Kumar.
The program was coordinated by Dr Rajinder Kour. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kour said that health has emerged as the primary concern after the Covid-19 pandemic. She added that it is high time that we adopt the natural way of living and Ayurveda for good health and well being.
After the interactive session, the student and faculty members of the College got medical checkup done by the AYUSH doctors. Herbal medicines, immunity boosters and supplements were also distributed to more than hundred students which participated in the program.
The program was conducted by Prof Shalini Rana. The faculty members who took active part in the Camp were Dr Jyoti Parihar, Prof KK Mangotra, Prof Radhika Mahajan, Prof Rubina Yasmeen, Dr Deep K Bangotra and Dr Tahira Shah. Students of BEd and MEd courses participated in the program enthusiastically.
