JAMMU, Jan 23: A three-day International Workshop on “Enhancing Research Skill” organized by the Government College of Education (GCOE) Jammu through virtual mode concluded today.
On the last day of the workshop, Dr Habibullah Shah, Associate Professor of Education, Directorate of Distance Education, University of Kashmir apprised the participants about the importance of enhancing research skills. He said that every higher education institution is required to pay serious attention to this aspect as the research skills make teaching more attractive for academics and can make teaching instrumental to the academics’ research.
In her valedictory address, Principal of the College Dr. Kulvinder Kour appreciated the efforts of Research Hub in Education and Teacher Education particularly its Coordinator Dr Sushma Bala and Organizing Secretary Dr Shubhra Jamwal for conducting an International Workshop on such an important aspect.
She thanked Dr Marlina Jamal, Assistant Professor School of Language, Literacies and Translation (PPBLT), University Sains Malaysia Penag, Malaysia, Dr S R Candy D’Cunha, Associate Professor of English, Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering and Technology, Andhra Pradesh, and Dr Habibullah Shah, Associate Professor of Education, Directorate of Distance Education, the University of Kashmir for sharing their knowledge on the subject.
Dr Mansi Sharma, Prof Satish Sharma, Dr Tahira Shah, Dr Jyoti Parihar, Prof Shapia Shameem Bhatti, Prof Sarita Dogra and Prof Seema Kumari were also present at the event. Saksham Maria hosted this event successfully.
This was an informative session wherein students were allowed to raise their queries and the experts solved all their queries.
