JAMMU, Dec 11: The Govt College for Women, Parade Ground Jammu organised its annual Alumnae Meet in the college campus, which was attended by a large number of former students to relive the college years and reconnect with their alma mater.
The meet was organised by the Alumnae Committee of the college under the patronage of the Principal of GCW Parade, Dr S P Sarswat and guidance of the convener of the committee Prof Samriti Manchanda.
On the occasion, a scintillating musical performance was given by the students of the Music Department, which was followed by some games co-ordinated by Dr Jyoti Behl to lighten the atmosphere.
Many illustrious alumnae participated in the event and shared their views on various topics as it was a platform for rekindling of anecdotes of remarkable journeys, poignant stories and interactive sessions. Many of them volunteered to render services for the benefit of the current students of the college.
The event was filled with nostalgia as former students relived their college memories. It was an equally nostalgic and proud moment for the faculty members as well. The event ended with a formal vote of Thanks by Dr Gurpreet Kour.
