UDHAMPUR, Nov 9: Government College for Women, Udhampur today conducted elections of the Student Council for the session 2023-24.
Samiksha Thakur, a student of 5th Semester , was elected as President while Kashish of 3rd Semester was elected as Vice President; Kritika of 3rd Semester as Secretary; Divyanshi of Ist Semester as Joint Secretary; Sunila Thakur of 3rd Semester as Treasurer; Subhani of Ist Semester as Joint Treasurer; Surbhi Sharma of Semester 5th as Convener; Rupali of Semester 5th as General secretary; Kritika of Semester 5 as Cultural Secretary; Mitali Rajput of Semester 3 as Sports Joint Secretary, Shabanam of Semester 5th as Joint Secretary Sports and Bhawana Sharma of Semester 5th as College Sports Secretary.
According to Prof Anjali Mahajan, Principal of the college, the elected students will lead and render a progressive change in the overall development of the College.
The election process was coordinated by Convenor DSW Committee, Sanjay Kumar, Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Dean Students Welfare (DSW) Dr Meena Gupta.
