UDHAMPUR, Oct 2: Government College for Women Udhampur organized its first ever alumni meet, here today.
More than 50 alumni across the social spectrum came to attend the meet. Few of them are still in the process of their studies while others are serving to nation in dignified capacities. Dr Shveta Sharama, Dr Usha Sharma (AP, Higher Education), Saba Noor, CTO Udhampur, Dr Rupali Sharma, Dr Priyanka Gupta, Dr Anu and other alumna participated and shared them being nostalgic while coming to the meet and seeing the place again where they have studied once.
Dr Chander Shekhar, Principal GCW Udhampur, extended his gratitude towards all the alumni who spared their valuable time to come. He also exhorted upon the idea that all should come forward and give their valuable feedback/suggestions in order to improve the academics, co-curriculum and initiate other developmental projects which otherwise college is lacking in.
Dr Ajay Kumar and Prof Suneel Singh also interacted with the all of them on the occasion and requested them to be honest while giving the feedback/suggestion.
Earlier, the programme formally began with the welcome address by Prof Brinder, Convener IQAC GCW Udhampur.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Prof Sanjay Kumar, Assistant Professor GCW Udhampur.
