GCW’s Red Ribbon Club inaugurated

JAMMU, Aug 25: The newly framed Red Ribbon Club of GCW, Gandhi Nagar, was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the College, here today. Prof. Manisha Kohli, Convenor of the Club welcomed the guests and the students on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal of the College enlightened the students regarding AIDS and its prevention. She said that it is important to Know AIDS for No AIDS. She further said that through the medium of extension lectures and training programmes a message can be conveyed to large number of people in the society.
A guest lecture cum training programme on the topic ‘Prevention and Awareness of HIV AIDS’ was presented by the resource person Dr Arun Sharma, Medical Superintendent Government Hospital Sarwal, Jammu. He interacted with the students and threw light on various communicative mediums regarding AIDS.
A documentary movie was shown and a Nookad Natak was presented to provide awareness to maximum number of students.
