SRINAGAR, May 23: Yuva Utsav-India @2047 was organized today at Govt Degree College (GDC) Boys Anantnag by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Anantnag.
Theme of the programme was ‘Panch Pran’ Amrit Kaal and there were five events which started from 11 am.
The events included writing poetry, painting, photography, declamation and cultural events planned by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to celebrate post-Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
More than 200 participants from different Colleges of Anantnag and youth leaders from different Youth Clubs of blocks of District Anantnag participated in all events.
A panel of 15 judges was there for judging the events to declare 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions.
All the winners were given cash prizes and certificates. The chief guest of the inaugural function was Dr. Syed Fakhrudin, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag.
Prizes were distributed by Mohd Yousuf Gorsee, DDC Chairman Anantnag.
Professor Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat, Principal of the College and other guests appreciated the initiative.
Earlier Mohd Khalil Mir, Deputy Director NYK Anantnag delivered welcome address.
