GDC Bishnah holds programme on drug de-addiction

‘Take help of Rehab Centres’

JAMMU, May 31: Department of Zoology in collaboration with Department of Botany of Government Degree College, Bishnah organized a program comprising of poster making competition, seminar and a pledge ceremony against drugs.
Prof Hardeep Kour appraised students about the bad effects of drugs addiction on individual, family and at the level of society and asked students to refrain from such activities.
Prof Archana Bakshi while addressing students emphasized that if a person gets addicted he should take help of rehabilitation centers established by Govt. to get rid of drugs addiction and come back to normal life.
Dr Suman Bala Sharma stressed on the impacts of drug addiction.
Prof Amit Kumar Sharma emphasized that first start creating awareness about drug de-addiction from your family then neighborhood and then to the society.
Dr. Sheetu Raina emphasized that one should get addicted to music, poetry, exploring animal and plant diversity etc. but not to drugs which ruins the individual as well as the whole society.
Students also expressed their views about drug addiction in the form of poems, seminar, speeches etc. Prof. Rashmi Arya and Prof. Shivani Raina and all other members of teaching and non-teaching staff and large number of students of the college attended the program
Dr. Manohar Lal, Principal of the College and all the members of teaching and non-teaching staff and students of the college joined the pledge ceremony and the rally.
