RAJOURI, Oct 8: Government Degree College (GDC) today elected students body.
Ather Mehmood of BA Part II was elected as president, while, Atiq-ul-Rehman of BA Part III as vice president (Male) and Arushi Khajuria as vice president (Female).
Amjed Mehmood of BSc Part III was elected as general secretary, Tahira Kouser of BA Part II as joint secretary, Sayeed Shamila of BSc Part I and Mevish Anjum of BA Part III were elected as chief treasurer and cashier respectively.
Naseem Akhter Choudhary of BA Part III and Amir Bhat of BA Part II were elected as chief organizer and organizing secretary respectively, while, Ishtiaq Ahmed of BA Part II as spokesman.
Asif Ali Manhas of MCA 5th semester was elected as chief CR of PG students of the college.
The election was conducted under the supervision of the College Principal Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Lone and held by Prof Haqeeqat Singh Ishar, Election Commissioner, in presence of members of the Election committee Dr Abdul Rouf, Dr Abdul Qayoom Khan, Prof Ghulam Abass, Prof Anwar Shah, Prof ZA Mirza, Prof Abdul Karim, Prof Riaz Ahmed Mirza, Prof Mohd Iqbal Raina, KH Shah and Tanveer Ahmed.
