KARGIL, Sept 3: Government Degree College (GDC) Kargil accorded an affectionate farewell to Principal GDC Kargil, Dr Amina Banoo Qari, who superannuated after serving in Higher Education Department for 24 years.
She is the first female PhD from Kargil and retired from her service as Principal Degree College. Dr Amina has become the first retiree in Higher Education Department of UT Ladakh. Before that other employees attained their superannuation from erstwhile J&K State.
Dr Amina was given a farewell by all staff members of GDC Kargil and Sankoo Campus at Karpokhar. Senior faculty member Prof MNM Shabani, Syed Mustafa (Staff Secretary), Incharge Principal Prof Diskit Angmo and all other staff members wished the retiree good health and prosperous retired life.
