JAMMU, Oct 12: GDC Marh, along with the executive members of the newly established Alumni Association of Government Degree College Marh, celebrated the official registration of the Alumni Association with the Registrar of Societies, Jammu, under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.
The Alumni Association was founded in December 2022 with the first batch of graduating students and the inaugural alumni meet took place on 28th December 2022.
Prof. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul, the Principal of the College, expressed his appreciation for the collaborative efforts of the officers involved, especially Gagandeep Singh (IPO) and the Director of the Registrar of Societies, Jammu.
The newly elected members, including Atul Narayan Singh (President), Anvish Gorkhay (Vice President), Harsh Mehra (Joint Secretary), Ritik Kesar (Publicity Secretary), Akhil Sharma (General Secretary), Summit Thapa (Treasurer), Ashish Sharma (Executive Member) and Simran Koul (Member), conveyed their gratitude to the Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul, for his diligent efforts in securing the registration of the Alumni Association.
The joyous moment was celebrated by all faculty members and staff of the college. The Alumni Association plays a significant role in the decision-making and development of the college and holds a crucial place in the NAAC accreditation of colleges. The Alumni Association has also made a monetary contribution towards the development of alumni activities in the college, with the hope that the association will further elevate the college to new heights.
