MENDHAR, Oct 24: Aiming at inculcating teaching quality in the students the Department of Zoology, Govt Degree College, Mendhar organized a seminar here today.
The seminar was held under the supervision in Prof Sarshad Hussain, Head Department of Zoology and Prof Aashiq Hussain, Lecturer of Zoology.
The topics of the seminar were Man-Animal Conflict, Nitrogenous wastes and excretory organ in Man, Pearl culture, Malaria, Human Liver, Environmental Pollution and Human Heart delivered by Sadaf Zehra of B Sc Part-I, Sonia Waqar of B Sc Part-II, Nahila Anjum of B Sc Part-III, Ferry Riaz of B Sc Part-II, Rajat Sharma of B Sc Part-III and Tehseen Fatima of B Sc Part-I respectively.
Aurooj-un Nisa, Sonia Waqar and Nahila Anjum of B Sc Part-II claimed first, second and 3rd position respectively.
College Principal, Prof Shabir Hussain Shah was the chief guest on the valedictory function who presented prizes to the winners and distributed certificates among all the participants.
Prof Showkit Hussain, HoD Chemistry, Dr Mahroof Khan, HoD Botany and Prof Zaffer Iqbal of Chemistry were the jury members.
Dr Mohd Azam, HoD Urdu, Prof Mohd Akram, HoD Education, Prof Ayaz Ahmed from the Deptt of Economics, Prof Mohd Arif from the Department of Mathematics and Prof Zehra Jabeen from the Department of English were also present.
