GDC Nowshera organizes workshop on career counseling of students

RAJOURI, Mar 26: Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Government Degree College Nowshera in collaboration with Psychological Counselling and Career Counselling Cell of the College organized one-day workshop on career counseling of students.
ADC Nowshera Sukhdev Singh Samyal was the chief guest on the occasion while the programme was presided over by Dr Surinder Kumar, Principal of the College.
The chief guest, speaking on the occasion, emphasized on the importance of online marketing and digital knowledge in present world. He also advised the students to make best use of their precious time and prepare for their competitive examinations along with their studies.
The Resource Persons Sahil Mahajan (BDO Nowshera) and Anjali Gandotra (BDO Seri) enlightened the students regarding various opportunities in academics as well as competitive fields after graduation. They provided information to the students about the various competitive exams like KAS, IAS, CDS, Banking, NET, JRF, GATT and others. They informed the students about the various PG courses they can pursue after graduation. They also interacted with the students and cleared their doubts.
Dr Chander Parkash, Heath Department Nowshera made the students aware of the menace of drug addiction and urged the students to adopt healthy life style for better development of their personality. He also asked the students to make good use of Mobile and Internet.
Special guests Bodh Raj (BDC Chairman), Narinder Sharma (Municipal Committee Chairman), Ravi Kant (External IQAC member) and Zakir Hussain Mirza (SDPO Nowshera) also inspired the students with their visionary insight and advised the students to work hard and be honest to fulfill their dream.
On the occasion, Sonia Choudhary of BSc Semester V was conferred with ‘Student of the Year’ award.
