JAMMU, Oct 25: Department of Dogri and Urdu of Government Degree College R S Pura organized extension lectures under the ‘Series of Lectures’.
Prof Shiv Dev Manhas from Department of Dogri and Prof Apfan Ali from the Department of Urdu, MAM College, Jammu, were the resource persons
Prof Apfan Ali delivered a lecture on ‘Urdu Afsana Ka Fan’ while Prof Shiv Dev Manhas presented a paper on ‘Lok Barta Da Mhatab’. Prof. Apfan Ali briefly highlighted ‘The Art of Urdu Afsana.
Dr Ranjodh Singh, Staff Secretary welcomed the guests and introduced the topic of the lecturers. The student of the college, Palvi Rajput B.A Semester-I, presented paper on ‘Lok Barta’ and Shammu Kumar from BA Semester-V, presented paper on ‘Urdu Ghazal’.
Dr Ashaq Hussain presented vote of thanks. Principal of the college, Prof Kalpana Kesar, in her address, motivated the students to take part in various extra-curricular activities and stressed upon the need of promoting Dogri and Urdu in the larger interest of students.
