GDC Samba organizes slogan writing competition

SAMBA, Dec 10: NSS unit of GDC Samba organised slogan writing competition on the topic Human Rights Violation’ in its premises.
A total of 30 students participated in the competition. On this occasion, a guest lecture was also orgainsed. Dr Monika Narang, faculty from The Law School, University of Jammu was the resource person who enlightened the students about the relevance of Human rughts in the present era. She awarded the students about the evolution of human rights and the working of different orgainsation like CEDAW, ILO and NGO’s in protecting the human rights.
The Principal, Dr Ramesh Chander spoke at length about the university of human rights and insisted the students to protect their rights.
Later the prizes were distributed to the winners of slogan writing competition. The first, second and third prize were bagged by Diksha Randhawa, Alka Sharma and Barkha Bhat respectively. Two consolation prizes were shared by Digvijay Singh and Rohini Manhas.
