RAJOURI, June 6: The Department of Environmental Sciences Govt Degree College Thannamandi organized a National Level Quiz competition on the topic “Biodiversity” for the students of Colleges and Universities to keep them busy and gain knowledge during lockdown.
A large number of students from within J&K and across the country participated in the Quiz.
The response was overwhelming and the students who got 50% marks in the Quiz were provided certificate of participation which was generated online.
The entire programme was conducted under the supervision of Prof (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi, Principal of the college. Besides colleges of the Jammu and Kashmir the participants were from some premier institutes including University of Jammu, University of Kashmir, Bhagwant University Ajmer, HNB Garhwal, Shri Venkateshwara University AP, Cluster University of Jammu, National Physical laboratory New Delhi, NIT Srinagar and Punjab University Chandigarh.
The Principal of college lauded the efforts of Prof Naveen Sharma HoD EVS (Quiz Organizer) and Prof Saleem Ayaz Rather Co-ordinator IQAC& HoD Zoology for making the competition a successful one.
