THANNAMANDI, Sept 9: NSS Unit of Govt Degree College Thannamandi organized a Symposium on the topic ‘Role of Teachers in the Society’, here today.
Principal of the College, Dr B B Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion, who spoke at length on the topic and appreciated the efforts of the NSS Unit of the College for organizing such a programme.
Dr AR Qadri, HoD Urdu and Sajad Lecturer Islamic Studies also spoke on the occasion, while Lecturers Dr Abass, Mr Aijaz and Mr Mubarak were the adjudicators of the programme.
Flower Afsana Chaand got first position, while second and third position was claimed by Adeeba Dar and Farha respectively.
Earlier, the programme started with recitation of verses of Quran by Mr Farooq, student of the institution.
Earlier, Prof Saleem Ayaz Rather, Programme Officer NSS presented welcome address, while the vote of thanks was presented by Shahreen, NSS Volunteer.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Deeba, student of BSc Part-III.
