GDCT organizes free medical camp

JAMMU, Feb 19: Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT), a Non-Governmental Organization working for the tribal of J&K for the last three decades, organized a free medical camp at Gujjar Colony, here today.
The Camp organized in collaboration with SMVD Narayana Superspeciality Hospital Katra, was inaugurated by Ramesh Kumar (Divisional Commissioner, Jammu) as chief guest.
The doctors from various specialties participated in the camp and provided free medical consultation and medicines to the patients/people drawn from various walks of life. Besides, Sehat/Golden Cards under Ayushmman Bharat Scheme were also generated.
MS Chouhan (general secretary), Shoukat Javed, Mohd Yousaf Khepar, Saleem, Mohd Bashir Ahmed Noon, Rafiq Kohli and Mohd Amin were also present on the occasion.
The doctors who provided free consultation to the patients are Dr Rajpal Singh (Oncologist), Dr Nitee Gupta (Ophthalmologist), Dr Mohd Shamim (Chest Specialist) and Dr Najma Akhtar (PSM). Technicians and other staff of Narayana Hospital Katra also provided their services in the Camp.
Earlier, chief guest, guest of honour, doctors, paramedics, trustees and members of Youth wing of Trust were welcomed by Advocate Shah Mohd Chowdhary (chairman of the Trust) in presence of patron-in chief, Haji Abdul Hamid.
