SRINAGAR, May 22: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara Khalid Jahangir today convened a meeting regarding achieving targets under aspirational district programme for Social Security Schemes.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Social Welfare Officer, District Lead Bank Manager, District Mass Education Information Officer, BMOs, CDPOs, BDOs and other concerned.
DDC impressed upon all that 100 percent targets under Social Security Schemes should be completed on mission mode in the district.
He directed all concerned to gear up efforts towards successfully achieving targets under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana within a stipulated time frame of four years.
He directed the concerned officers to make sincere endeavours through coordination and cooperation at each and every level to realise in letter and spirit the purpose of financial inclusion and other related social security schemes for welfare and empowerment of the people of the district.
DDC suggested that concerned departments should constitute a group with an officer designated as nodal officer to monitor all the efforts so that the purpose of reaching out to the last person in the district and ensuring grassroots reach of the schemes is realised.
He said that as an Aspirational District with dynamic nature of indices, Kupwara should achieve progress in each and every aspect to better its ranking and thereby standards of living of its people.
