DODA, June 22: For enhanced electoral participation in the upcoming Assembly Elections, District Election Officer (DDC) Doda Mubarak Singh convened a meeting of all the District Officers and BlOs and directed them to gear up for the upcoming Assembly elections.
Assistant Development Commissioner, Doda Imam-ud-din, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Doda S.C. Dogra, Sub Divisional Magistrate Bhaderwah, Bupinder Kumar besides other officers of line departments were present in the meeting.
DEO informed that the process of summary revision has started and for enhanced participation of electorates the BLOs were directed to conduct camps and door-to-door distribution/collection of forms for addition, deletion, correction and transposition of names of electorates in the electoral roll.
He further stressed that 100% Photo Electoral Roll (PER) and Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) coverage should be the target and focused and intensive approach is required to attain it. The officers of various departments were directed to furnish the details of current position of their staff so that the data of transferred, retired and promoted officers/officials could be updated timely.
Later, the queries raised by the BLOs and others officers/officials on the basis of their experiences in the last parliamentary elections were resolved by the ACR Doda to the best of their satisfaction.
