Gear up efforts for improving healthcare facilities: Lal Singh

JAMMU, Dec 4: Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI and Trainings Choudhary Lal Singh today directed the health authorities to gear up their efforts for   improving the health care facilities to the people in the rural areas
The Minister was speaking during an  inspection of Community Health Centre, Ramgarh in Vijaypur .
Director Health Services Dr. Baljeet Singh Pathania besides Chief Medical Officer, Samba and Block Medical Officer, Vijaypur accompanied the Minister.
Choudhary Lal Singh asked the medicos and paramedics to remain present at  their headquarters and not to leave station without prior permission from the concerned authorities so that proper healthcare faclities are provided to the patients .
The Minister said that Government has made tangible achievements in upgradation of healthcare facilities during last eight months in the State, adding that  a comprehensive plan has been chalked out to upgrade all the far-off areas hospitals of the State at par with city hospitals.
The Minister directed the concerned officers to ensure presence of adequate staff  at these health institutions especially during the night so that patients are provided better  health care services  at odd hours .
Choudhary Lal Singh also discussed important issues like improvement in infrastructure and healthcare facilities in CHC Ramgarh, funds allocation, expenditure and work done status under various projects.
The Minister said that focus is being laid to strengthen the existing health institutions including laboratories and emergency wards particularly in rural and far-off areas to ensure best possible healthcare facilities.
Responding to the demand projected by the locals of the area , the Minister assured that the Ramgarh hospital would be further equipped with latest healthcare facilities for providing better services to the people
Earlier, Choudhary Lal Singh inaugurated a blood donation camp at Ramgarh in Vijaypur organized bythe  District Gurudwara Prabandak Committte, Samba in collaboration with Directorate of Health Services, Jammu.
