JAMMU, Sept 6: Ahead of the forthcoming ULB polls, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today urged upon the members of Mahila Morcha to gear up for the polls and play a decisive role in BJP’s success.
Kavinder was addressing a meeting of party’s Mahila Morcha in connection with the aforesaid polls.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder said that BJP has broken all the records by substantially fulfilling the promises made by it to the people. He said that BJP stands strongly committed to the empowerment of women through 33% reservation and this is well evidenced by the fact that it fulfilled the same in the in ULB polls. He said that women play the most important role in moulding the future generation that paves the way for the nation’s future. He said that while the BJP Govt is taking various initiatives for women’s welfare, at the same time women need to come forward to benefit from such initiatives.
Gupta said that keeping in view the significant role of women in the society, the BJP Mahila Morcha workers and activists have a vital role to play by spreading awareness about the schemes of the government especially those launched for the women folk. He asked the Mahila Morcha cadre to make the people aware about the unprecedented achievements of the BJP Govt during its twin tenure.
Sanjita Dogra President Mahila Morcha also addressed to the party activists and assured the party leadership of fielding the best candidates in upcoming polls.
