This refers to the news item “Geelani threatens mass agitation” DE dated July 3. Geelani’s communal outbursts prove the fact that Hurriyat constituents and all others living in the Paradise On Earth and advocating the theory of limited and conditional Indian control of J&K State, can afford to co-exist with the minority communities there only on their terms and conditions.
The exodus of Pandit community from the valley was obviously a result of this very ideology. The people of Jammu and Ladakh regions like the aboriginal inhabitants of Kashmir valley who are refugees in their own country for the last more than two decades, well know the reasons of such outbursts and if the policies and programmes of the Central Govt towards the J&K remain stretched to the same old wave length, in that case there may be further erosion in the secular pattern of the valley, what to speak of return of Kashmiri Pandits with grace and dignity.
