JAMMU, Mar 17: Training of general Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) conducted by SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI-RSETI) Jammu concluded here today at RSETI Roop Nagar.
About 21 candidates from different parts of Jammu district participated in the training.
On this occasion, a function was organized in which certificates of participation were distributed by Mohd Sadiq, District Officer, J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (JKKVIB) Jammu and Bikramjit Singh, Director SBI RSETI Jammu.
Mohd Sadiq elaborated that JKREGP scheme is a new credit linked subsidy scheme launched by Government of J&K which is being implemented by JKKVIB Jammu and 35 percent subsidy is being routed through J&K Bank for eventual distribution to the beneficiaries in their bank accounts.
He also motivated the candidates to successfully start business ventures after getting the loan disbursed from the banks.
Bikramjit Singh assured them to extend every possible help from RSETI in future. He also encouraged the candidates to open their self employment business ventures with the help of JKREGP Scheme and also motivated them to be a successful entrepreneur by generating employment at their ventures. He wished them good luck in their future endeavour.
Director, RSETI, Bikramjit Singh maintained that SBI RSETI Jammu which is aimed at skill building of prospective small entrepreneurs/borrowers specially for rural youth, is unique as it is intensive short term residential self employment training programme with free food and accommodation designed especially for unemployed rural youth. He motivated the candidates to stand on their own, after completion of the training programme.
