JAMMU, Aug 4: A deputation of Apex Body of General Line Teachers Forum, under the leadership of its State President Neeraj Sharma and district president Rajouri, Vikram Singh, called on Director School Education Anuradha Gupta and had a detailed discussion on various burning issues of teaching and non teaching community.
While interacting with the Director, Neeraj Sharma strongly recommended the transfer issue of Hard Zone and Hard Area of Rajouri district along with general transfer of Summer Zones of Jammu Division. He demanded to issue necessary direction to all CEOs to effect the transfer before the Mid Session so that the studies of the students may not suffer and the teachers who are working in the far flung area for the last 4 to 5 years get a sigh of relief and chance to serve in the towns on rotational basis.
The other important demands discussed with the Director were; issuance of regularization order in favour of Incharge Lab Assistants, Junior Assistants and Lib Assistants, removal of pay anomaly of teachers appointed in 2009 and early conduct of new DPC of teachers to Masters as hundreds of posts of Masters are lying vacant in Jammu division.
Neeraj Sharma further demanded the implementation of detachment direction of all the teaching staff attached in various offices like ZEO, CEO, DIET, S.I and Directorate in letter and spirit as teacher is fundamentally meant for teaching and not for clerical work. This practice has already done irreparable loss to the thousands of students in the school and this is the reason why today many schools have become defunct or at the verge of closer owing to the unavailability of such teachers.
Neeraj Sharma further urged the Director to issue an order to adjust all the surplus teachers and Masters on clear vacancy and resolve the salary of these once for all.
The Director assured to issue necessary orders along with approval to CEO Rajouri by Monday or Tuesday to effect the transfer of teachers and resolve the other genuine demands within a stipulated period of time.
Those who were part of the deputation, included Digvijay Singh, Ramneesh Khajuria, Jivakant, Kiran Pandita, Ajay Dogra, Vikas Sharma, Madan Mohan, Surinder, Naresh Manhas, Amit Dabgotra, Anil Sharma, Himmat, Dr Sudesh, Vijay Singh Chib, Joshil, Tariq, Gulzar, Sandeep and others.
