JAMMU, Apr 24: General Line (NPS) Teachers Association has appealed the School Education Department to frame such a transfer policy for teaching community that they may come to home easily daily for looking after their family.
“Whether it is female or male, a teacher should be transferred and posted to such a station from where she/he may come to home easily to look after the family as everyone has single family at this time,” said the Association, adding that is someone is posted at a distance more than 20 kms, it would be very difficult to take care of his/her family.
The Association has also appealed the Government to revise the pay scale of J&K UT Teachers at par with their counterparts in other UTs as per the promise made by PM Narendra Modi and Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, last year.
