JAMMU, Mar 7: In order to ensure that people are not cheated by the land mafia or persons conducting deals of various categories of land, Deputy Commissioner Jammu today launched a web portal containing details of all the fake allotments and illegal mutations which have been cancelled by the administration recently.
On the instructions of the Government, the Jammu district administration is carrying out a detailed exercise for cancellation of illegal mutations attested over State land in favour of private individuals.
The eviction notices are being served to those individuals who are illegally sitting over State land and have got mutations attested in their favour fraudulently. In this exercise, 31 illegal mutations conferring ownership rights in the garb of Roshni Scheme, LB-6/S-432 of 520 kanals of land situated in Bahu, Bhalwal and Nagrota tehsils have been cancelled so far and retrieval of the same is in process.
This exercise in other tehsils of Jammu district is going on and possibility of cancellation of illegal mutations in respect of vast chunk of State land cannot be ruled out.
In order to ensure that people are not cheated by the land mafia or those conducting land deals, the Deputy Commissioner Jammu today launched a web portal, which contains orders regarding cancellation of illegal mutations and eviction notices.
Now, people can see details of all such Khasra numbers where fake allotments and illegal mutations have been cancelled over State land. In this way, there are remote chances of their being duped at the time of purchase of land. This portal will contain locational details along with latitude and longitude of the particular Khasra number along with Google images.
The portal, which has been developed by National Informatics Centre, will also contain orders and circulars issued by the district administration vis-à-vis illegal encroachments on State land. Besides illegal mutation and related orders, this portal will also be used by all sections of Deputy Commissioner’s office for uploading all orders and circulars for facilitating timely information to the authorities and public at large.
Shortly, the portal will be updated on daily basis with fresh cancellations and newly restored State land. This portal can be accessed at http://services.jammu.gov.in and also from https://jammu.gov.in under the title “Online Orders and Circulars”.
The district administration has appealed to the public not to carry out any transaction of such land whose mutations have been cancelled and the land has been escheated to the Government. “No such transaction will be entertained by revenue authorities and it will be on the risk and responsibility of individuals who land into such transactions”, an official said.
