SRINAGAR, June 12: A team of Gandhi Global Family (GGF) led by its President S P Varma visited remote areas of Bandipora, Kupwara and Baramulla districts of Kashmir and discussed social issues confronting the people in these districts.
In a statement, GGF spokesman B Singh said that the team made the residents of these areas aware about the programmes launched under the guidance of GGF National President, Ghulam Nabi Azad. He said people were also made aware of the philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi for promotion of peace and understanding in these areas.
The spokesman said that the team addressed public meetings in the various areas of these districts and during these problems like corruption, unemployment, drug addiction and other social evils came to the fore.
