SAMBA, Oct 20: Samba police has arrested five gamblers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal and recovered stake money of Rs 24,980 from their possession.
According to the report, a Police Party of PS Ghagwal headed by Inspector, Kuldeep Raj raided the gambling spot at Jarain, Rajpura and arrested five gamblers along with stake money of Rs. 24,980 and a set of playing Cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Uttam Chand, S/o Gain Chand of Chack Lala, Rajpura, Karam Chand S/o Anant Ram of Malani, Rajpura, Ashok Singh S/o Suraj Singh of Lala Chak, Rajpura, Romesh Kumar, S/o Shiv Ram of Bhagata Chak, Rajpura and Jugal Kishore, S/o Puran Chand of Sujana, Rajpura.
Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under Section 13 of Gambling Act at P/S Ghagwal.
