SAMBA, Sept 21: Continuing its drive against the sale of illicit liquor in the area, district police Samba has seized 20 liters of illicit desi liquor and arrested the accused at Village Dushian, Ghagwal in the jurisdiction of P/S Ghagwal.
Acting on reliable information, a police party of P/S Ghagwal headed by SHO, Ghagwal, Inspector, Sudhir Sadotra under the supervision of Dy.SP Headquarters, Samba, Tilak Raj Bhardwaj conducted a raid at Village Dushian, Ghagwal and succeeded in recovery of 20 liters of illicit desi liquor from accused person namely Joginder Singh alias Jinder, S/o Fateh Singh R/o Dushian, Ghagwal. The accused person has been arrested and the recovered desi liquor was seized on the spot.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 85/2019 U/S 48 (A) Excise Act has been registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation started.
