‘Ghost’ to be adapted for television

LONDON, Nov 14:  Supernatural romantic film ‘Ghost’ is all set to be revived into a television series by Paramount TV.
The company’s newly launched TV division has tapped Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner to co-write a pilot for the series based on the 1990 hit film of the same name, reported BBC online.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Akiva and Jeff, two deeply creative and accomplished talents, on the television adaptation of this classic supernatural drama,” Amy Powell, the Paramount Television President said.
‘Ghost’, which saw actress Demi Moore and late actor Patrick Swayze in the lead roles, was nominated for five Oscars, including best picture.
It garnered Oscars for Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress. (PTI)
