JAMMU, Dec 21: Guru Harkrishan Public School (GHPS), Nanak Nagar, Jammu celebrated its Annual Sports Day in the school premises, here today.
Mahant Manjit Singh Ji was the chief guest on the occasion, who inaugurated the function and gave blessings to the participating students.
S. Bhupinder Singh, retired DIG presented welcome address, and spoke on the importance of sports in child’s life.
He said sports and games release mental tension, improve personality and develop public relationships. The students displayed various sports and allied events including March past, Pricking of balloons, Frog race, Blind race, Musical chair, Tug of war etc.
The chairman of the school gave away prizes to the participating students.
Rita Popli, Principal of the school presented vote of thanks and applauded the efforts of the students and teachers for making the event a success.
