JAMMU, Jan 3: A girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Janipur Colony, here today.
As per police sources, a girl identified as Isha (25), daughter of Bhushan Lal, a resident of Janipur Colony was found hanging at her house to fan with dupatta.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the girl to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where doctors declared her brought dead.
After conducting autopsy, the body will be handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been initiated by Janipur Police in this regard.
